As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on 2025 in a way that feels deeper and more honest than ever before. This wasn’t a simple year. It held both heartbreak and joy, loss and growth, endings and exciting new beginnings.
This year asked a lot of me. I walked away from a relationship that I once believed in, only to realize it wasn’t healthy for me. Letting go was painful, but necessary. It taught me how important it is to choose myself, protect my peace, and honor my boundaries without guilt.
I also experienced a loss that changed me forever. I lost my grandma unexpectedly, and with her, a sense of comfort and grounding that I didn’t realize how deeply I relied on. Grief found its way into many moments this year, reminding me that love doesn’t disappear, it simply changes form.
Professionally, 2025 challenged my sense of security. I lost the job that was helping fund my graduate education due to circumstances completely outside of my control. It was overwhelming and scary, and yet it pushed me to trust myself in ways I hadn’t before and to believe that something better could still be waiting on the other side.
At the same time, this year gave me experiences I once only dreamed about. I traveled to so many new places, immersed myself in new cultures, and created memories that will stay with me forever. Traveling became a reminder that the world is bigger than any one moment of pain, and that growth often happens when we allow ourselves to step into the unfamiliar.
One of my proudest moments this year was graduating with my MBA. It represents more than a degree. It represents perseverance, long nights, self-doubt, resilience, and believing in myself even when the path felt uncertain. Completing this chapter is something I will always carry with me.
I also found myself standing at the beginning of something new. In the year ahead, I’ll be starting a job that I’m genuinely excited about, one that aligns with who I am and where I’m going. Knowing that something fulfilling is ahead has brought me so much hope as this year comes to a close.
In the middle of all the chaos, I also started this blog. What began as a space to reflect and process became something I’m deeply proud of. Losing my social media and the progress I had built once felt devastating, but now I see it as a reset. A chance to rebuild with intention, authenticity, and purpose. Coming back stronger, clearer, and more aligned than before.
When I look back at 2025, I don’t see a year that broke me. I see a year that shaped me. I see resilience, courage, curiosity, and growth. I see a version of myself who experienced deep loss and still allowed space for joy, adventure, achievement, and hope.
Moving Forward: How I’m Tracking My Goals in 2026
As I step into 2026, I’m approaching goals differently. Instead of setting overwhelming resolutions, I’m focusing on intention and consistency. I’ve learned that growth doesn’t come from doing everything at once, but from showing up regularly in small, meaningful ways.
To stay grounded and accountable, I plan to track my goals in a way that feels realistic and supportive. I’m breaking my goals into clear categories like career, wellness, personal growth, and creativity. I’m setting monthly focus points instead of rigid yearly expectations. I’m checking in with myself through journaling and reflection, not just measuring outcomes but also how I feel along the way. And most importantly, I’m celebrating progress, even when it’s quiet or unseen.
In 2026, tracking goals isn’t about pressure. It’s about awareness. It’s about giving myself permission to adjust, pivot, and grow without judgment. I want my goals to support my life, not control it, and to stay aligned with the values that matter most to me.
As the clock approaches midnight, I’m closing this chapter with gratitude. Gratitude for the lessons, the love, the experiences, and the strength I discovered along the way. Here’s to healing, growth, new adventures, and stepping into the next year with clarity, intention, and excitement.
If you’re reflecting on your own year, here are a few gentle prompts to carry with you into the new one:
- Write down three things you’re proud of from this year and take a moment to acknowledge how far you’ve come.
- Choose one word that you want to guide the year ahead.
- Set one small habit that supports the life you’re building.
Sometimes, that’s all it takes to begin again.
Wishing you a peaceful and meaningful New Year. ✨
