It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through 2026.

Every January, I find myself creating goals, making vision boards, and imagining what the year ahead will look like. Some things happen exactly as planned, while others take unexpected turns. If these first six months have taught me anything, it’s that growth rarely looks the way you expect it to.

This year has been one of building habits, embracing change, and learning to be patient with myself.

One of the biggest areas of growth has been my health journey. Since the beginning of the year, I’ve lost over 50 pounds. While I’m proud of the progress, the biggest lesson hasn’t been about the number on the scale, it’s been about consistency. There were weeks when I felt like nothing was changing, workouts that challenged me, and moments when I questioned whether all the effort was worth it. Looking back now, I realize that the small choices I made every single day mattered more than any single workout or meal ever could.

Another exciting part of this year has been beginning my professional career. Transitioning from being a student to working full-time has been both exciting and humbling. Every day brings new lessons, new challenges, and new opportunities to grow. It’s reminded me that no one starts out knowing everything, and that’s okay. Growth happens by showing up, asking questions, and continuing to learn.

Outside of work, I’ve also made it a priority to create memories. Whether it’s traveling, spending time with family and friends, or simply making time for experiences that bring me joy, I’ve learned that success isn’t measured only by career milestones. It’s also measured by the moments that make life meaningful.

Of course, not everything has gone according to plan. There have been moments of uncertainty, setbacks, and days when I’ve wondered if I was making enough progress. But when I compare where I am today to where I was in January, I realize just how much can change in six months.

As I look ahead to the rest of 2026, my goals are simple: continue taking care of my health, keep learning, continue growing professionally, and enjoy the journey instead of constantly chasing the next milestone.

If there’s one thing these first six months have reminded me, it’s that progress isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s found in the habits you build, the confidence you gain, and the person you’re becoming little by little.

Here’s to making the most of the next six months.

As we head into the second half of the year, I’d love to hear from you.

What’s one lesson the first six months of 2026 have taught you? Or, what’s one goal you’re hoping to accomplish before the year ends?
